Ron Timehin is a photographer and video director from London, of British Sierra Leonean and Nigerian descent.

His work is about people. Who they are, where they belong, and what it feels like to be seen. That instinct runs through everything he shoots, whether it's an editorial portrait or a campaign for a global brand.

Over the years, he has worked with Apple, Nike, Sony, Adobe, and Disney, and his images have appeared in British Vogue and the Financial Times. The project he's most proud of is Dove's Reclaiming School Picture Day, a film about race-based hair discrimination and its toll on young people. It contributed to legislation change in the UK.

This year, his body of work shot in Ghana was shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards in the Professional Portrait category, one of 430,000 entries from around the world, and the images were exhibited at Somerset House.

His portrait of his local fishmonger was also selected for Portrait of Britain Vol. 8, led by the British Journal of Photography, which ran on billboards across the country and was published in their annual book.

Ron is a Sony and Adobe ambassador, partnerships built on genuine creative exchange and he continues to contribute to both companies in the form of commissioned work and workshops.

His first monograph, London Fog, is a love letter to the city that made him. He also runs talks and workshops, passing on what he's learned to the next wave of image makers. Not just the technical side, but how to make work that actually means something.
