We Who Belong

Presented by SOTA

This series, created in Labadi, Jamestown, and Akosombo, explores community and identity through portraiture, highlighting Ghana’s coastline and Lake Volta. I captured individuals in their daily environments, producing images through a slow, collaborative process that emphasises dignity and presence. These portraits examine the idea of belonging, showing how “home” can be both a physical place and an inner sense through community. This project aims to produce an honest, respectful, and human visual record.
